On April 9, 2025, Prince George's County has brought to MVAs attention that IC bus model years 2016 to present year hydraulic brake rubber lines are bubbling. Prince Georges Co contributes several bus fires to this problem.
It is recommended that all contractors inspect brake lines. You must pull the loom back and check underneath. Any hose that is marked with an 'EU" or bubbled be replaced immediately.
The vehicle must be inspected while the engine is running and the brakes applied. Previously, DOT inspections on the lines were not done thoroughly. It is imperative that you reevaluate the brake lines.
After changing these lines, you must manual as well as computer bleed the lines.
The best replacement hose is a Samsung.
