If you are up for the challenge, sign up to participate. Participants must be a certified school bus driver with no preventable accidents in the last 12 months and drive for a contractor who is a paid member of M.S.B.C.A. Complete the application, the registration fee and letter from county transportation verifying good driving status to the address on the application. There are two classesof buses, transit and conventional. Drivers willfirst take a written test on knowledge and vechile pre trip. Then they will be driven around the course and be able to ask questions. At 9:00 AM the driving will begin. The first three places in each class will win a trophy and money. First place $500.00, Second place $250.00 and Thrid place $100.00. There will be an overall Rookie Award. The first place winner in each class will have the opportunity to represent Maryland at the National School Bus Safety Competition in Greensboro North Carolina, July 16 & 17, 2016. All certified school bus drivers in the state working for MSBCA member contractor are welcome. Pre-registration for contestants is a must. We will accept a total of 4 contractor drivers from each county, additional drivers will be put on a waiting list. All drivers and attendants are welcome to come out and cheer on your fellow drivers. Every driver and attendant with a CDL and current DOT card and attendant with verification will recieve a free gift and free lunch!
Food will be available for purchase and dorr prizes will be given out.
